Are you thinking about starting a business in Peru? Whether you want to open a local store, launch an import/export company, start a school or work remotely while legally registered in Peru — we’ll guide you through every step.
NVC Abogados support you in building and growing your business. We take care of the legal formalities so you can focus on your clients and the success of your company.
What is a S.A.C.?
Your company will be registered as a S.A.C. (Sociedad Anónima Cerrada) — the most common business structure in Peru and comparable to an LLC (Limited Liability Company) in the United States. This type of company limits liability for shareholders and offers flexibility for small to medium-sized businesses.
A SAC requires at least two shareholders. If you’re setting up the business on your own, we can provide a nominee shareholder with 1% ownership to fulfill this requirement.
Company Formation in Peru
Setting up a company in Peru usually takes around two weeks. Our all-inclusive package covers everything you need:
Company registration
RUC (Tax ID number)
Legal books and notarial procedures
Accounting services
Ongoing tax advice
If you’re in a hurry, we also have ready-made companies available. In this case, we simply transfer ownership — a process that can be completed in 1–2 business days, so you can begin operations immediately.
Work Visa for Business Owners
Once your company is registered, we can help you obtain a Peruvian work visa as its legal representative. This includes:
Drafting a compliant work contract
Filing your application with the Ministry of Labor
Applying for a temporary residence permit
This residence permit is renewable yearly and can lead to permanent residency or citizenship after 2–3 years, provided certain conditions are met.
Location-independent entrepreneurs welcome
Peru is an attractive base for digital entrepreneurs. If you work remotely and want to formalize your operations, a Peruvian company offers:
Low corporate tax rates
Legal structure and invoicing capacity
Visa and residency options
A reliable local team handling your compliance
We’ll explain all your options, timelines, and costs in detail — with full transparency and clear communication.
